Something of a cheat - redid it this evening because I wanted to change the print file I had currently. Image was a bit dark with the two buildings…
King and Queen
Day 127/365
From way back in the archives, a black and white take on a night shot I took of the King and Queen Towers in Sandy Springs. Officially Concourse 1 and Concourse 2, but everyone calls them the King and Queen based on their crowns. Trivia, they are the tallest skyscrapers in a suburban setting in America (the last I heard).
The Pinnacle (by Mark E Tisdale Photography)
Day 322/365
Re-edit of one of my last photos from Atlanta. On a week-day before leaving, I took a long walk up Peachtree, a lot of it was re-visiting, like this stop at the Pinnacle. I lived near here for two years when I first came to Atlanta. This was fairly new when I first got there and amongst the taller buildings. By the time I left Atlanta, there were taller buildings in Buckhead and the Pinnacle had more neighbors but I still love that roof.
The Fabulous Fox on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, part of my Atlanta Icons series from when I lived in Atlanta. It was a series I never considered complete but I won’t be adding to it likely anytime soon.
Marietta’s Famous Big Chicken
Most anyone from the Atlanta area will have heard of the Big Chicken - a Marietta Landmark where directions all seem to start with the Big Chicken, i.e. North of the Big Chicken, turn left at… etc. It’s a great roadside attraction and piece of genuine Americana.
I’ve treated my original photo to feel like an old illustration or print.
